Urbana, Maryland – St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church recognized Tom Natelli, President and CEO of Natelli Communities, during a special presentation on August 30, after he generously donated a property adjacent to the parish’s historic country church.

“I have some outstanding news for our parish,” said Father Brian Nolan, pastor of St. Ignatius. “Tom Natelli, CEO of Natelli Communities, has unexpectedly and generously donated the land that sits adjacent to the 150-year-old St. Ignatius Country Church. What a gift!”

Natelli’s donation of the property, valued at approximately $1 million, is located at 8825 Urbana Church Road, Frederick, Maryland and creates a lasting opportunity for future growth and ministry. This extraordinary gift provides St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church with the capacity to expand its mission of serving the residents of Southern Frederick County while also supporting the vibrant Deaf Catholic Community that gathers each Sunday to celebrate Mass at the historic country church.

“The parish community of St. Ignatius is alive with Christ’s love — a true center of evangelization marked by a rich sacramental life and a broad commitment to ministries and outreach to those who are in need,” said Archbishop of Baltimore William E. Lori. “Thanks to Mr. Tom Natelli’s most generous gift of land, the parish can expand its good works from the country church in Urbana, ensuring that Christ’s light will shine ever more brightly.”

Natelli said the gift reflects his commitment to the parish and the broader Urbana community.

“We’re fortunate to be in a position to be able to make gifts like this one and continue to build the fabric of this outstanding community. St. Ignatius has been here since Rt 80 was just a fork in the road, and we’re honored to be able to help perpetuate the church’s important legacy and great works in Urbana and the greater Frederick area,” said Tom Natelli.
